　　罗尼和戴琳是一对二度婚姻的夫妻，最近他们之间好像出了些问题，两人关系开始疏远；和他们情况相似的好友洛伊和坎蒂，则是一对新婚夫妻，他们看起来急需生个 孩子 来挽救失败的婚姻。
　　在这个节骨眼上，这两对私交不错的夫妻，决定一起去度假，从家乡阿肯色州的小岩城一路到内华达州的雷诺赌城，去看一场炫目的巨型改装卡车大展。令他们意想不到的是，途中等待着他们的，除了一道道关卡、收费站、指示牌以外，还有互相猜疑、出轨和重新点燃的欲火。
　　罗事实上，罗尼是个大胆莽撞，但又啬吝的汽车商人，老婆戴琳则是向来我行我素，不受人管制的女人；另一厢的洛伊是个老实直爽的人，但老婆坎蒂却是个火爆脾气的辣妹子。不论外人怎么看，这两对冤家，好像都有错位的感觉。所以，当罗尼和坎蒂两人一路上打情骂俏，相互勾引时，眼看就有大事要发生了！
