　　以“三部曲”形式描绘美军占领后的伊拉克的社会实态。第一部以逊尼派居住区的少年为观察对象，第二部的视点则切换为什叶派的神职人员，第三部旨在展示库尔德牧人的生活境况。影片虽在返美后完成最终剪辑，但为保持原汁原味，完全留存了伊拉克的现场拾音。在此基础上辅以细腻的映像、巧妙的剪辑，高超的完成度叹为观止。难怪本作于年初的圣丹斯电影节纪录片竞赛部门连中三元——最佳导演、剪辑、摄影奖。
