　　艾丹是一家大广告公司的CEO，某天在看电视的时候昏倒了，醒过来后他只能通过广告宣传语与周围的人进行交流。他与老相好凯伦在医院意外重逢，原来凯伦正好是医院慈善基金会的领导。阴差阳错下凯伦不得不肩负起暂时照看艾丹的重任。

　　艾丹满口让人啼笑皆非的广告语为凯伦的生活带来不少小插曲，凯伦与青春期女儿紧张的亲子关系因为艾丹的到来缓和不少。与此同时，艾丹的竞争对手卢卡斯出现在艾丹与两母女的生活中，原来卢卡斯要趁艾丹言语不便之机收购艾丹的广告公司……
