　　该剧由编剧兼女主演菲比·沃勒-布里奇和导演维姬?琼斯联手打造，2013年于爱丁堡边缘艺术节首演时一炮而红；2016年被改编为同名BBC剧集，再掀热潮；2019年布里奇携独角戏强势回归舞台，她在外百老汇、伦敦西区的演出一票难求，而剧集《伦敦生活》第二季更是在艾美奖上狂揽11项提名，并最终斩获喜剧类最佳女主角、最佳编剧等4项大奖。
