　　小镇附近有一间核能电厂，泰勒博士发现电厂附近的森林中有辐射反应，向库格博士报告，库格叫他不要多管闲事，否则就检举他在电厂喝酒，这是违反规定的行为，会遭到解雇的处分。苏珊和娇丝搭同一班巴士，娇丝是要回到小镇，而苏珊是路过小镇要去西雅图探望男朋友，在杰克小站休息站，苏珊被放鸽子，搭便车遇到恶司机要强暴她，她躲入森林中，被不明物体杀害，娇丝和男友麦到森林中散步，发现苏珊的尸体，向警长报案，回到原现场尸体居然失踪，原来是核电厂接到警长的通知将尸体带回去化验,杰克也不幸遇害···
