　　不同于男方版本《因为爱情：在她消失以后》以詹姆斯麦艾维的视角出发，本片描绘洁西卡雀丝坦饰演的伊兰诺因曾经的悸动与浪漫变成空虚迴圈，崩溃地只想逃离婚姻生活。在睿智、洒脱的父母，以及知心好姊妹的相伴下，她振作精神剪了俐落短髮，回到学校决定重新出发。然而，在能真正走出悲伤，展开圆满自在的新生活之前，伊兰诺似乎得先好好整顿对旧情的眷恋…。
