　　在一个舒适的季节，弗朗西斯科（艾邦·摩斯·贝克许 Ebon Moss-Bachrach 饰）和怀有身孕的妻子贝丝（凡妮莎·肖 Vinessa Shaw 饰）来到墨西哥某个海滨小镇度假。适值狂欢节期间，小镇四周歌舞升平，纸醉金迷，多少青年男女流连忘返。弗朗西斯科渴望寻觅一个安宁的所在，他找到当地的渔夫，从对方手中租下一艘船，打算在附近某个僻静的小岛安然度过五六天。次日，他和妻子抵达目的地。那里寂静无声，几乎看不到一个人影。岛上的孩子们偶尔逡巡四周，但无一例外脸上都挂着狰狞冷漠的表情。

　　未过多久，令他们毛骨悚然的事情接连发生。岛上的孩子手执凶器猎杀成人，期间更发出令人不寒而栗的笑声。孩童的杀戮仍在继续，弗朗西斯科夫妇能否逃离……
